General Display

This is used to configure general display options for the various windows.

Detailed Information Window

The Detailed Information section has an option for enabling/disabling the display of the thumbnail when a picture file is selected. Disabling the thumbnail will speed up the updating of this window if a picture file is selected. Colours of different parts of the window are configurable.

Colours for different types of rows (e.g. rows with warnings, errors, etc) can be changed.

By default, rows are sorted according to the order they were scanned. If you sort the rows by some column, that same column can be used as a basis for future sorting if you enable the 'Save Last Sorted' option.

You can configure whether you want to use regular sorting or numeric-based sorting (sometimes called natural sorting) for names that have a mixture of alphabetic characters and numbers. An example best illustrates the difference. The names A10, A2, A000100 are sorted by a regular sorter in ascending order to yield: A000100, A10, A2. The same entries sorted by numeric based sorting yields: A2, A10, A000100. The difference is that when numbers are present in names, their numerical values are taken into account in the sorting. You may have noticed that Windows XP uses numeric based sorting to sort filenames. Older Windows operating systems like Windows 2000, ME, etc. use regular sorting (i.e. character based sorting).
If names are sorted that only have numbers in them or if you are sorting by a column that only has numbers in it (e.g. old name length), then those names will always be sorted in numeric order.

By default, when the preview list is made, names that have not changed are not listed. There is an option that will allow the display of unchanged filenames. This can be useful if you want to modify file properties (see Detailed Information Preview List popup menu options) for all files rather than just the ones that are being renamed.

The preview list has an icon column down the left-hand side. The display of this column can be disabled by unchecking the 'show icon column checkbox'

The font size of the preview list characters can be modified. Changing the font size will affect the width of the rows. If the font size is made smaller than the default, then you should also disable the display of the icon column otherwise the column width of the rows will be set to match the icon size instead of the character size.

The Option Window section has an option for choosing the background colour of the window.

Main Window

The Main Window section has an option for choosing the background colour of the window.

Common Features

When selecting a colour, a colour palette window will appear. In it you can also specify custom colours. When saving a selection in this window, all the custom colours will also be saved.

All window sizes are saved automatically when the program exits. There is therefore a button to reset the window sizes to their default sizes.

There is a button to reset all display options to their default values. When this is pressed, all custom colours in the colour palette will also be reset to their default values. This button will not, however, reset the window sizes.
